Dedicated to the Restoration, Preservation & Presentation of the Lost Decade of Original Chicago Urban Blues (1970s)

In the education of a musician today who has chosen to express himself through the language of the blues, the riffs and licks of a decade of the blues masters cannot be missing. A missing link in the historical chronological chain of development of any language diminishes that language to less than it could be.

A musician, who wants his music to speak with an authentic blues accent, must live and work (at least for a while) in the blues community, otherwise he is doing an impression.

CBF has found, restored and archived much of the material from the blues communities and neighborhoods of Chicago that were thriving during the 1970s. This previously missing link of material now revealed creates a small bridge between Chicago blues as it was in the 1960s and as it is being played today. Our belief is this will be of value and interest to blues musicians, historians and enthusiasts alike.
